Vont develops reduced-risk “Nicotine without tobacco” products for adult smokers looking for alternatives to traditional cigarettes. Their goal was to create a website that matched their young and modern audience.
With Adobe XD design files provided by Vont, Marko was tasked with creating the website from A-Z, keeping as much of the existing backend as possible while filling in any missing pieces to match Vonts vision.

Create a website that matches Vonts vision and brand and allow them to scale to new markets flexibly and modularly to accommodate laws and regulations in different regions without having to rebuild the entire website.
Vont proved to be a very interesting project to work on. The website was built with Next.js and Strapi while still keeping WooCommerce as the order management system. This allowed Vont to scale to new markets flexibly and modularly to accommodate laws and regulations in different regions without having to rebuild the entire website.
Essentially, Vont can now deploy to new markets by modularily adding or removing features from the website based on region through strapi. For example, Klarna does not allow e-ciggarette sales in the UK, so the Klarna payment option was removed from the UK version of the website in exchange for paypal.
Site load times were decreased by over 300% and SEO was improved by incredible amounts increasing the number of organic visitors to the website by over 50% in the first two months.
The website was also built with a mobile-first approach, making it easy to navigate and use on any device.
SUMMARY
Using Next.js and Strapi, Vont was able to scale to new markets flexibly and modularly to accommodate laws easily.
Site load times were decreased by over 300% and SEO was improved drastically increasing the number of organic visitors to the website.
